Margaret Umanah, another Nollywood veteran actress dies in vital accident

The Nigerian movie industry called Nollywood, has been thrown into mourning yet again as another veteran actress, Margaret Umanah, died few days ago in a ghastly motor accident along the Lagos-Benin Expressway.
Margaret, who was one of the biggest actresses in the South-East, was based in Uyo, the capital of Akwa Ibom State, and was a very popular and active member in the industry and would be remembered for her roles in some Ibibio indigenous movies like ‘Eka Abasi’, a blockbuster epic local movie.
According to foremost movie producer and director in the state, Moses Eskor, a condolence meeting will be held in her honour tomorrow, Friday, 16 May, 2014.
Margaret Umanah’s death brings to five, the number of movie practitioners who have died since the beginning of this year.

May her soul rest in peace…..

The National Drug Law and Enforcement Agency, Akwa Ibom State Command, has extolled the state’s joint taskforce – ‘Operation Thunder’ for impounding a commercial bus conveying India hemp.
The bus, a Toyota Hiace, with number plate SB 490 AFM belongs to Akwa Ibom Transport Company Limited.
It was said to be conveying 165.4kg hemp from Edo State on Wednesday night, when the task force, intercepted it at Mbierebe in Ibesikpo/Asutan Local Government Area of the state.

AKTC ; one death too many!!! On the 3rd day of May 2014 at Okada community along Benin Lagos Express way, an AKTC reckless Driver left his lane and run on a full speed overtaking other vehicles and had a head on collation with a Jeep killing all passengers in both his bus and the Jeep this include one of us, a veteran Actress Mrs Margaret Umanah. Mrs Umana and few did not die at the spot they were still breathing when the AKTC monitoring team arrive but the wicked AKTC team only picked their reckless driver away leaving their victims to cry in pain and bled to dead. I humbly beg you to Arise, if you are in the movie industry or you are a musician etc please join us in this crusade, Mrs Umana must not die in Vain, her dead must put an end to AKTC recklessness, Please have a heart!
