Martha Udom, Don Etiebet, Mercy Suss, others for awards as Oruk Anam holds Economic Summit in Lagos Nov 2

Akwa Ibom State first lady, Her Excellency, Mrs Martha Udom Emmanuel will be receiving Best Humanitarian Award for her immense contributions towards empowering women and youth through her pet project, Family Empowerment and Youth Re-Orientation Programme (FEYReP).

The event which is organized by the Association of Oruk Anam Indigenes of Nigeria in Lagos is set to hold on Saturday November 2, 2019 at AKISCOM Hall located at No. 4 Adedapo Street, Yaba, Lagos by 10:00am prompt.
According to the organizer, “The theme of this year Economic Summit is tagged ORUK ANAM BEYOND POLITICS; it will be a moment of brainstorming on the current state of Oruk Anam and her people to make good recommendations and positive suggestions towards the repositioning of our dear local government beyond its present state to a higher height in terms of sustainable development”. “Oruk Anam as a local government is blessed with abundance of natural resources such as; palm oil, Rubber plantation, Clay, limestone, Basalt, Quartz, rivers for fishing and other natural resources. If properly harnessed, it will improve the economy and better the lot of our people”.
This vision  comes in line with the ideology of his Excellency, the Government of Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Udom Emmanuel through his DAKKADA Philosophy to move Akwa Ibom State from a common Civil Service State to an industrial hub-African region and beyond in different sectors of the economy.
Dignitaries and awardees expected at the historical event among others are Her Excellency Mrs. Martha Udom Emmanuel (Akwa Ibom State First Lady) aside being one of the awardees will also be a Special guest of honour, Atuekong Annang Don O. Etiebet, Atuekong Ubong B. Idiong JP, Executive Chairman Oruk Anam, RT. Hon. Udo Kierian Akpan, Leader, Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Hon. Unyime Idem, Member, House of Rep. Oruk Anam/Ukanafun, Hon. Prince Akpan Ikim, Chairman, AKSEPWMA, Hon. Sampson Idiong, Dr. David Umoessien, Mrs Mercy Suss, founder and President, FRAUSUSS Children Empowerment Foundation and erudite legal luminary, Barrister Victor Ukut as Keynote Speaker. The organizer will use the opportunity to unveil 2020 Calendar.
