Barely a week after an epoch-making Ibom Youth Convention, tagged Uyo City 2014 organised by Ibom Youth
Pathfinder recently held in Uyo, the capital city of Akwa Ibom State, Nsikak
Tom, BOT, Ibom Youth Pathfinder is currently under fire over the poor conduct
of the event.
Nsikak Tom, BoT Chairman, IYP, Lagos |
Allen Effeh, Coordinator, IYP, Akwa Ibom State Chapter |
Princess Abigail Asuquo, Vice President 2 IYP, Lagos |
IbomCelebs
exclusively gathered from an impeccable insider that aside being poorly
organized, the event witnessed a low turnout due to the way it was handled by
Nsikak.
According to the source who declined anonymity, Nsikak was beaten at
the event for allegedly siphoning the group’s fund.
“In fact as I am talking to you now, everybody is angry with him. We
were all shocked when we realized that Nsikak was using his private bank
account to run the organization,” the source who witnessed the whole drama
squealed.
Speaking further, the source said problem started when Nsikak informed
the people that he was going to bring in Hamza Al-Mustapha, former CSO to the
late Gen. Sani Abacha to deliver a keynote address.
Angered by his decision, one of the members of the forum who gave his
name as Allen
Effeh outrightly kicked against it, having spent over N200,000
to ensure a successful host of the event. He also added that the present of
Al-Mustapha will not speak well of the group.
However, Nsikak insisted that he is going to bring him in that anyone
who is against his decision is being disloyal to him.
He was eventually overpowered as Mustapha failed to show up.
Another factor that contributed to the ‘brotherly war’ was that Nsikak
failed to show appreciation to those who contributed to the success of the event.
“Nsikak change the whole plan at the eleventh hour. He even came with his own MC and he
outrightly snubbed the President of IYP, Uyo chapter to deliver his own
address,” the source further hinted.
IbomCelebs further gathered
that the Italy coordinator of IYP, Uko Ufford who flew in from Italy was left
stranded in the city of Uyo after the fallout of the event.
Nsikak in alleged text message sent to the Vice President 2 of IYP,
Lagos chapter, Princess Abigail Asuquo described her as a cheap prostitute who
has nothing to offer.
The sms as obtained by IbomCelebs
reads, “i dont have ur time. go ahead and do what u like. u and ur gang r al
loosers. 4 every of ur post u wil c a reply on ur personal fb wal. u started
this and u wil regret every of ur action. IYP is not meant 4 cheap prostitutes
so u can take ur stupid gang and go start ur organisation so we c how far u wil
go. fool.
When we reached her for reaction, a tearful Abigail described the
incident as unfortunate, adding that after she had sacrificed all she had to
bring back the already soiled image of the group to where it is today, Nsikak
has the guts to call her a cheap prostitute.
“I am still in shocked, I couldn’t believe Nsikat calling me a cheap
prostitute despite several effort to resuscitate the group,” Abigail gushes.
However, when contacted, Nsikak told our correspondent that Abigail was
only out to dent his hard-earned name, reputation and with the intention of
hijacking the organization from him.
His words: “We have put together this programme for four consecutive
years. The BoT will not exchange words with people that are out to destroy the
good image we have built. Thanks. Akwa Ibom Youth Convention lives on,” “There
are no issues the Board of Trustees in which i head are the organisers of Akwa
Ibom Youth Convention. Some want to hijack the platform that we have been
building and improving the standard for 5 years now and we refused. Thanks,” he
stated.
You soar-away paper spoke with some members of the forum who lambasted
Nsikak for dragging the name of the people to the dust.
Below are their reactions raw and uncut.

Allen Effeh
State Coordinator, Akwa Ibom
State Chapter
He is bound 2 fail in life if he does nt change.
Am happy i met some wonderful people thru dis group and that has been
my greatest joy. BUt our so called Bot is a failure
Akwa ibomites are known for their hospitality and show of appreciation
but that guy called nsikak is a clone.
Aniebiet u are asking me to calm down, maybe i shud start telling u all
that fool has done. its not about the money Aniebiet , its about a show of
appreciation. i have personally sunk in well over 200k to make that event
happen, only to be called a betrayer. how wud u feel if u came from italy to
attend and event and u neva got appreciated by the head?
Who will believe that after the convention, that u cant even call me or
any of my people, not even the italy people u brought to add glory to u, u had
left them at my own expense, even wen they had police issues, all u cud do is
call sam bassey and switch off ur phone. the same us that u say are destroyers
are standing our grounds and taking the responsiblity of the Bot/National while
he is no where to be found.
A word of advise to u BOT/NATIONAL , when u finish using everyone and
dumping them, what will be left of u?
well if u didnt know let me tell u, a leader must learn to be
appreciative, by calling my team together and appreciating them, it would have
shown that u appreciate their effort. but u were more concerned in taking the
glory and dumping them behind, my presido sir, Diaris God OOOO
u ve not bothered to know
how people are fairing, neither have u bothered to address the people u used to
work in Akwa ibom. my question to u is, is dat how a leader should be?
before we came to lagos, Nsikak had promised us that they have paid for
accomodation for us and bus. 2 days before the event i kald him and he tolld me
dat there was no bus, then i asked him about accomodation and he said he has
paid for 10 rooms for my people. i had to rally around and raise 100k and i
brought 10 guys to lagos only to be left stranded at the campus wen we arrived,
after waiting for 3 hours he later came and took us to his house and dumoed 8n
guys there after which he never bothered wat happened to us till we left.
now our issue started wen he
wanted to bring Almustapha (abacha's assasin) to the event as guest speaker and
i strongly objected that it wil not speak good of the event and then we
quarreled and said that i was not loyal. Secondly he turn the group to a
political platform for Udom and am agianst it cos i join this group as a
neutral group. bro ve spent money just for this event to hold, only to be
called a betrayer by Nsikak. Akwa ibom youth convention wont come to Akwa ibom
again

Nsikak will never apologize, he always use pple to achieve his
interest, thank God his secret is opening, the first year we started this
convention that is how I spend my money at the end he took all the glory and
the chegue sponsors give. That is Nsikak for u so guys relax and move on with
your life.
Baby take it easy with yourself, he has fail I promise him that
popularity he want to become is not possible as he refuse to carry the people
that suffer with him along. Am telling you that I put in more than what you did
but I was turn down when gifts and cheques roll in even sponsor at vi he went with his friends to collect
the money without those that had sleepless night with him. Relax and move on
with your life
Uko (Italian Guy)
THE ITALIAN GUY THAT CAME THAT DAY
that guy was the one who rescue Nsikak that day
but he collected money from that guy and abandon him in Uyo
Udoh Christopher Joseph
its rather so unfortunate that one man, thinks he can cow educated minds
for his selfish interest. I absolutely, reserve my comments now until the
meeting.
