Uyo Senatorial
District, Lagos chapter has again maintained her position and proved to the
world last weekend that, not only it is the foremost and majority Ibibio
speaking ethnic group in Akwa Ibom State but also a district with distinction,
visionary leaders who are always striving and aiming at excellence.
Last Saturday
February 1st, 2020 Uyo Senatorial District (USD), Lagos inaugurated her newly
elected executives at the prestigious AKISCOM Hall, No 4 Adedapo Street,
Tejusho, Yaba, Suruere, Lagos. The much talked about event was anchored by the
trio of Edwin Saviour aka Papa B, award winning Comedian and Corporate Compere,
Grace Ekpo a.k.a Lady G of Wazobia FM, Abuja and Amadok Johnson, Nigeria most
inspiring indigenous comedian.
Chief Matthew
Udoheyop was sworn in as the new President-General of Uyo Senatorial District,
Lagos chapter, other elected officers sworn in with him were Akp. Nseobot
William, Vice President, Akp. Uwem Idaha, Secretary General, Mr Alfred Usanga,
Assistant Secretary, Idongesit Stephen, Treasurer, Akp. Matata Udoekot,
Financial Secretary, Akp. Cletus Akpan, Provost, Akp Gospelo Etim, PRO, Mr Osom
Joseph, Publisher, Ibom Celebrity International Magazine (online), Media
Officer, Mr Peter Peter, Assistant Financial Secretary, Akp. Barr. Cletus
Eyo-Udo, Legal Adviser and Miss Eno-Obong Robert, Chief Welfare Officer.

The event which
started by 1:30pm with the hall filled to the brim was chaired by a charismatic
and lively business mogul Mr Gabriel Moses Bassey, MD, Maschi Global Limited
who was accompanied by his lovely wife, the chairman of the occasion urged the
new officers to be of good conduct. He further told them to always welcome both
constructive and unconstructive criticism and not to take it with emnity; above
all, they should lead with the fear of God.

Udoheyop, the newly sworn-in President-General, in his words, "thanked all
the dignitaries, guests and members of USD, Lagos for honouring the invitation
and finding time to grace the occasion."
"He told the
mammoth crowd at the event that USD, Lagos under his leadership will not be run
like the ordinary, norminal, conventional community we have around, we are
going to set a standard for others to emulate. He urged all the new executives
to brace up for change and serious business," Udoheyop added.
The epoch-making
event attracted creme de la creme across all sectors of the society such as,
business, political class, entertainment, traditional rulers, academia,
government parastatal and etc among whom are AIG Ahmed Iliyasu of Zone 2 Police
Command Headquarters, Onikan, Lagos, represented By ACP Tijani Lawal who is an
lntelligent Area Commander of Surulere, Mr. & Mrs. Gabriel Moses Bassey, MD
Maschi Global Limited, Chairman & Chairlady of the occasion.
Other dignitaries who
