ACIFF goes to church, honours AKISCOM youth leader, Prince Akan Eduoku in Lagos...(PHOTOS)

Akwa Cross Indigenous Film Foundation (ACIFF) on January Sunday 27, 2019 had a thanksgiving service at Peniel Gospel Deliverance Ministry, No 19, Alafia Street, Otun-Oba Bus Stop, Itire road, Lawanson, Lagos.

Following the frequent incident of death in Nigerian showbiz industry which led to the demise of some renown veterans and members in the entertainment industry, Mr Uwem Umoh, President, ACIFF led Akwa Ibom and Cross River States entertainers under the umbrella of Akwa Cross Indigenous Film Foundation (ACIFF) to church for a thanksgiving service, to thank God for the gift of life, protection and successes achieved last year and also to begin the new year with God.
Also, as part of the culture and tradition of the AKWACROSS and ACIFF which is to recognize and celebrate individuals or group of individuals and organizations who have contributed to a large extend to the well being of our people in human capital development and who also have positively impacted lives of the people in ACIFF and AKWACROSS, this year, the youth leader of Akwa Ibom State Community (AKISCOM), Lagos, Prince Akan Eduoku  was picked to be celebrated.
In his address, the President, ACIFF, Mr Uwem Umoh said, “ACIFF is an umbrella body of all the the actors, actresses, comedian, musicians, producers, directors, media practitioners, makeup artist etc of Akwa Ibom and Cross River States. We chose Peniel Gospel Deliverance Ministry this year for our thanksgiving service and also prayers to God for the protection of our members. It has been our tradition over the years, until recently, we could not continue for some reasons; as a result of that, we lost four of our members in the cold hand of death last year. So this year, we said no, we can not continue like this, we need to go back to God knowing fully well that with God all things are possible.”
“He further stated that, as part of the culture and tradition of the AKWACROSS and ACIFF which is to recognize and celebrate individuals or group of individuals and organizations who have contributed to a large extend to the well being of our people in the area of human capital development and who have positively impacted lives of the people in ACIFF and AKWACROSS, this year, the youth leader of Akwa Ibom State Community (AKISCOM), Lagos, Prince Akan Eduoku is our celebrant. ACIFF deems it fit to celebrate Prince Akan for his outstanding performance and exemplary leadership style in the community.”
He further advised all the entertainers that, in this political moment, they are not to abuse political leaders, do not call them names, entertainers are not tout, we are supposed to be law abiding, peace loving people and uniting force. Not to bring enmity between people, the campaign of calumny should not be encouraged. Entertainment is about peace and progress. As an entertainers, we may need these people and the leaders as well in the nearest future,” he concluded.
