Prince Felix Udoh returns as AKISCOM President with his excos for second term

 The President of Akwa Ibom State Community (AKISCOM), Lagos, Prince Felix Udoh was sworn in for a second term in office with all his executive officers as they took oath of office during the swearing-in ceremony last weekend Saturday January 16th, 2021.

The decision was reached through a special resolution by stakeholders and members of the general house that Prince Felix Udoh should remain the President of the community because of his numerous achievements, developmental stride and better Welfare system for members.

Other executives sworn-in were; Dr Patrick Essien, Vice President I, Barr. Silas Udoh, Vice President II, Chief Brian Efa, General Secretary, Mr Odudu Arthur, Assistant General Secretary, Engr. Emmanuel Bassey, Treasurer, Mr Emmanuel Eno, Financial Secretary, Mr Ofonmbuk Inyang, Assistant Financial Secretary, Amb. Marshal Udoh, PRO, Mrs Mfon Ibanga, Social Secretary, Mr Uyime Alex, Assistant Social, Mrs Aniedi Emmanuel, Welfare Officer, Barr Ita Umiom, Legal Adviser, Comrade Promise Udofia, Internal Auditor and Mr Amadok Johnson, Provost.

The newly sworn-in President, Prince Felix in his inaugural speech said: "I want to sincerely thank God Almighty who made this day a reality and who also prove Himself to rules and reigns in the affairs of men. I want to equally thank the stakeholders and members for their unflinching support and also giving me and members of my executives another opportunity to serve our dear community.
“When I came in as President of AKISCOM in 2017, I promised members of the community that, I will pull down the dilapidated community secretariat and build a brand new one, today as you can see the community hall is wearing a new look.”
“Not only that, we have been able to successfully securing and procuring Lagos State government permit and approval to commence AKISCOM Plaza project, as we speak, serious and aggressive construction work is going on at the AKISCOM new site, successful enlistment of AKISCOM Lagos in the AKS Protocol List, improved management & administration of the Community, Meetings and related activities, strengthening of the Youths and Women to enhance their performances and etc.” “He further stressed that, his administration will make frantic effort to improve on those areas of great significant to the growth and development of the community and our member’s welfare. I can assure you that we are ready and willing to serve you much better than before with a higher sense of responsibility.”

The epoch-making event took place at the prestigious Akwa Ibom State Community Secretariat No 4 Adedapo Street, Tejuosho, Yaba, Lagos and was chaired by the industrious son of the soil, Dr Edet Ambang, President Oron Union, Lagos branch which was attended by crème de la crème within Lagos and it environs.

Dignitaries who graced the event were Dr. Edet Ambang, President Oron Union, Lagos branch and Chairman of the occasion, Elder Sam Bassey, AKS Governor Special Representative, Barrister Abang Ekpaha Mkpandiok, Chief Dr. Asuquo Inuikim Obon KJW, Dr. Abraham Anlak, Secretary General, Oron Union, Dr Uko Eyo, President, Akwa Ibom State Clergy Forum (AICLF), Lagos branch,  Chief Matthew Udoheyop, President-General of Uyo Senatorial District (USD) Lagos, Etubom (Dr) Unyime Samson Samson, International President, Akwa Cross, Amb. Cornel Udofia, Founder, CMC, Eld (Mrs) Nkoyo Eddy-Bassey, President emeritus, Chief Elijah Ifot, abled represented by his lovely wife, Mrs Idongesit Elijah Ifot, Akwa Ibom State Liaison Officer, Akparawa Michael Ekpenyong well represented among others.

The chairman of the occasion, Dr Edet Ambang, in his address said, “Akwa Ibom State Community (AKISCOM), Lagos is a home for all Akwa Ibomites as such it behooves on us all to join hands and build our community together in unity. Prince Felix Udoh and his team has done so well for the community, especially in the reconstruction of the secretariat. I could remember in 2017 when they came in, this hall was not like this, they have proven that if given another opportunity, they will do more, and I hope that is why the stakeholders and members of the community are giving him and his executives another chance to do more for the community.” “He went further to charged them to take the community to the next level in terms of quality service delivery, improve more on members welfare,  and leave good legacy for those who will come after them.”

The officiating minister, President, AICLF, Pastor (Dr) Uko Eyo in his short exhortation, emphasized on leaders leaving a good name after many years of service to humanity. He went further to say that, a good name is more better than silver or gold, therefore dignity, respect and reputation is very important as a leader. Every leader is appointed by God and as such he or she must endeavor to leave a good legacy and learn to be contented, knowing very well that one day he will give account of his stewardship to God.”
After the sermon, Pastor Uko Eyo prayed and blessed the newly sworn-in executives for their second tenure.

The red carpet was anchored by Osom Joseph and Miss Godslove Bernard, while Mr Amadok Johnson was the official MC at the ceremony.
Members and guests were lavishly entertained with so much to eat and drink.
