AKISCOM women Lagos, holds health seminar this Saturday

Women leader, AKISCOM Lagos, Mrs Idongesit Ifot

Akwa Ibom State Community (AKISCOM), Lagos will on Saturday June 30, 2018 holds health seminar for Akwa Ibom State women living in Lagos.

The seminar according to the AKISCOM Lagos women’s leader, Obongawan Idongesit Ifot will cover breast cancer screening, advice on its preventive measures and the meaning, causes, symptoms, prevention and management will be discussed. Arthritis also will be talked about at the seminar.

Inspired by the first lady of Akwa Ibom State, the wife of our amiable Governor, Her Excellency, Martha Udom Emmanuel, who is touching women and youths lives across the state through her pet project called Family Empowerment and Youth Reorientation Path-initiative’s (FEYReP); Mrs Idongesit Ifot in the other hand has took it upon herself and the leadership of AKISCOM Lagos to empower women through skill acquisitions, cash gifts and this Saturday, June 30, 2018 by 8.30am at AKISCOM Hall, No. 4 Adedapo Street off Tejuosho Road, Yaba, Lagos, would be Medicare Programme to cater for those who are having health challenges.

Other activities to watch out for at the event are free eye check-up, distribution of corrective glasses, BP and sugar level check to mention a few. There would be a free blood pressure check up also and anti malaria drugs will be distributed those in attendant.

However, it is pertinent to note that it is only Akwa Ibom State women living in Lagos are to take part in this first phase of the programme.

Finally, all Akwa Ibom women resident in Lagos are encourage to take advantage of this opportunity and to know their health status in respect to the above mentioned health challenges as no money would be demand for attending the event. It is absolutely free health care programme.
