AKISCOM Youths hold awards, wealth seminar this Saturday




The Youth Wing of Akwa Ibom State Community (AKISCOM), Lagos will on Saturday 10, 2018 holds her 2017 Annual Awards, Get-together and Wealth Seminar.

The event will take place at AKISCOM Hall, No 4, Adedapo Street, off Awonaike Crescent, by Tejuosho Road, Surulere, Lagos at 11am prompt.

According to the Youth Leader, Prince Akan Eduoku: “This year event, which is our second edition, will be more interesting because we are having a three-in-one event, namely an awards ceremony, a get-together and a wealth Seminar, it is a well-loaded programme that will bring all Akwa Ibomites from all works of life together for seminar and networking and to eat, drink and merry together.”
The highlight of the event will be the honouring of individuals who have contributed immensely to the growth and progress of the AKISCOM Youth Wing and those who have been pillars of support since inception of the wing.
A thorough and painstaking selection process by AKISCOM executives led by Youth Leader Prince Akan, produced a shortlist of seven names of industrious and illustrious sons and daughter of the soil who will be awarded for their immeasurable contributions. They awardees include Barr. Abank Mkpandiok, Mr. Solomon Akpan, Hon. Ita Uye and Mrs Idongesit Elijah Ifot. Others are Hon. Mfreke Elijah, Engr. Ita G. Ekanem and Amb. Marshal Udoh.
It could be recalled that, the first edition of AKISCOM Youth Wing Award took place in December 3, 2016 at the National Institute for Medical Research, Yaba, Lagos where Akwa Ibom State Speaker, Barr. Onofiok Luke among others were shortlisted for awards. 
Admission to this epoch event is free and is expected to witness a huge turnout. All Akwa Ibom indigenes in Lagos and its environs are expected at the occasion. Foods and drinks will be in abundance, comedy, music will be on standby to spice up the event.
