AKISCOM Lagos election 2017 official results as released by Electoral Committee

The Akwa Ibom State Community (Akiscom), Lagos Branch Electoral Committee 2017 has officially released the results of the elections into the 16 Offices in AKISCOM LAGOS.

The Chairman of Electoral Committee, Chief Ukoette J. Etokhokpan, announced this in a statement immediately after the election on Saturday at about 11 pm October 21st, 2017.

According to the statement, thirty-three (33) son and daughter of Akwa Ibom State community

Lagos contested for the sixteen (16) offices in the just concluded AKISCOM election.

The Winning Team won Fourteen (14) seats while The Unity won Two (2) seats.

Sen. Akpabio condemns publication against Gov Udom Emmanuel

The Senate Minority Leader and immediate past Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Senator Godswill Akpabio has dissociated himself, his office, staff and associates from a publication against Governor Udom Emmanuel published on page 7 of The Nation newspaper of Thursday October 5, 2017 and some online platforms, with the title; "Why Akpabio's shoes are too big for Governor Emmanuel."

Akpabio's N41 billion Akwa Ibom ‘world class’ hospital shut down

The Ibom Specialist Hospital in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, has been shut down, just two years after it was built and commissioned by the administration of former governor Godswill Akpabio.

Almost all the health workers in the hospital were foreigners, mostly from India.

Mr. Akpabio had boasted that the hospital, which he described as ‘world class’, was better equipped and higher in status than university teaching hospitals in Nigeria, and that it was going to promote medical tourism in the country.
